This excursion is based on total fun visiting the most well-known attractions of the beautiful city of Portobello and Isla Grande.
In spite of what its name indicates, it is an island of small dimensions in which the famous statue of the Black Christ is found in the corals. Access to the island is by boats operated by local inhabitants; being half an hour from the city of Colón vehicles are not allowed to enter the island because there are only walking trails. It has a great gastronomic and cultural wealth.
We will travel by boat to the beautiful big island where we will have the pleasure to bathe in its beautiful private beaches and have lunch in the best Caribbean style; Isla Grande has undoubtedly one of the best beaches in Panama. It is a tropical, picturesque paradise, surrounded by beautiful coral reefs, beaches with white sands and palm trees. The main beach on the island is called La Punta.
The biggest attraction is the underwater life with its extensive population of fish that delight swimmers. The island has a magnificent shore to the North with its sunken canyons, caves and deep pools. On the south shore of the island is a unique maze of coral reefs that offers unparalleled snorkelling. With calm sea the visibility is approximately 10 meters.
When it is time to eat you can choose from the wide range of regional food, for example the octopus, the spider crab and the lobster in Creole style. Seafood and fish are freshly caught.
