We will begin our tour in the Modern City, with its important banking and commercial center. We will continue to Old Town, a colonial area, which is the second oldest city in Panama distinguished by its unique architecture with Spanish and French influence. We will visit the Plaza de Francia, the Paseo Esteban Huertas, the Plaza Bolívar, the Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza Herrera, the Church of San José, the Altar de Oro, the National Theater, other parks and attractions.
Additionally, we can visit the Canal Museum and know its history. We will have lunch in Old Town and then we will continue with our tour in the Amador Causeway with its group of islands and the cruise ship port.
We will make a stop at the Balboa handicraft market where you will find good prices as you shop for indigenous art pieces such as Molas, Tagua works, the famous “Panama Hat”, the typical clothes of the Ngöbe-Buglé tribe and other curiosities of our different ethnic groups.
We will visit the Canal Administration building. Depending on the schedule of the boats, we will visit the Miraflores locks, the most important lock of the Panama Canal and its visitor center.
