They are two islands located on a coral reef that are part of Isla Bastimentos National Park. It is believed that its name comes from “La Zapatilla”, indigenous name of a fruit that grows in that place.
The people enjoy the beach with white sands. after making a fantastic journey of 45 minutes on the “Sendero del bosque detrás del Arrecife”, where you can see a garden with tropical trees, a water fall, the tree that never dies and a coconut plantation.
On these islands you will see “Verde”, “Carey”, “Caguama” and “Baula” turtles that use the beaches as a nest.
