Begin your day at 6:30 a.m. with a journey from Panama City to Colon on the historical train built in 1880 by a French company which was building the Panama Canal. The train journey takes about 1 hour, taking you to Colon, going through the jungle, the Soberania National Park and along the Panama Canal.
In our tour of Portobelo, you can see the cannons that still show the importance of defense. Portobelo, was the target of several attacks by pirates, including Henry Morgan. You will visit all the ruins of the colonial port, the customs office where the treasures were stored, and the Portobelo church, where lies the miraculous Black Christ.
Important Note: This tour operates only Monday through Friday.
